Forested North Kitsap park nearly doubles in size

On Friday, the county finalized the purchase of 366 forested acres adjacent to the 443-acre North Kitsap Heritage Park off Miller Bay Road near Kingston. At 809 acres, the expanded park is now the county’s third largest after Central Kitsap’s Newberry Hill Heritage Park and South Kitsap’s Coulter Creek Heritage Park, both of which are more than 1,000 acres.
