Charlie grew up wandering the sage covered hills of Southern California. Having lived and worked throughout the west, from the Tetons to Tacoma, he has fallen in love with and has settled in Cascadia. Charlie is attracted to the the unique assemblage of diverse ecosystems that are present here from the coast to the alpine and everything in between. He is a firm believer in the power of connecting people to place and is excited to be strengthening communities of people through restoring communities of plants with Green Cities. When he is not helping strategize the next major charge on invasive blackberry in local urban forests, he enjoys fermenting vegetables, mountain biking, and exploring the Northwest for the perfect hillsides to pay homage to the iconic opening scene of Sound of Music.
