Did you know that, tucked away in a residential Parkland neighborhood, there’s a pocket of South Sound Prairie? This incredible ecosystem currently has less than 5% of its original range, so the Clover Creek Reserve is one of the last remaining places to see the wildflowers, birds, and other species that call these lands home.
In a partnership between Pacific Lutheran University, the Parkland Bulletin Board community group, and neighborhood land stewards, we will continue restoration efforts on the property by building bird boxes to increase bird habitat. This will be a great time to visit this space, learn about this special ecosystem, and catch a glimpse of some native bird species in flight!
