**Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Everett is cancelling all March volunteer events due to the concerns about COVID-19.**
Just two years ago, much of this park’s “natural areas” were just blackberry patches. Thanks to the hard work of nearby neighbors, this park has an extremely productive wetland habitat with lots of native trees and shrubs growing. But there is still more work to be done! Help us continue to transform this site!
What to expect: Volunteers will be working to remove weeds, plant native trees and shrubs, and care for plants – task will depend on the season and needs of each site. Most of the work is fairly physical, but there are tasks that all ages and abilities can help out with.
What to bring: Come dressed to work outside (rain or shine) with sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle or coffee cup. We will provide tools, instruction, and work gloves.
Youth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. The Green Everett Partnership youth release waiver can be found here.
The Green Everett Partnership Vision: Healthy forested parklands supported by an aware and engaged community in which individuals, neighborhoods, nonprofits, businesses, and city government are all working together to protect and maintain their valuable public resources.
