Join hundreds of friends and neighbors at our annual spring Duwamish Alive! restoration projects in the Duwamish River watershed!
This event will take place on the Duwamish Shoreline behind BECU in Tukwila!
After last fall’s planting season, our new plants should be establishing roots in preparation for the growing season. We will be continuing our restoration efforts by removing invasive plants like Himalayan Blackberry and mulching along the shoreline.
While you’re here, keep an eye out for otter, osprey and other wildlife making their home along the river’s edge. This is a great way to give back to your local community, and is also an awesome opportunity to meet some new faces, to get your hands dirty, and to get outside and connect with the Green-Duwamish River!
Time: Saturday, April 20th, 10-2pm
Address: 12770 Gateway Drive, Tukwila WA 98168
Where to park: Ample parking is available adjacent to the site.
What to bring: Please dress for the weather because we will be working rain or shine! Boots or comfortable athletic shoes, work clothes, appropriate layers for rain and sun. Volunteers should also bring a refillable water bottle; snacks and coffee will be provided.
