The Duwamish Hill Preserve has been undergoing restoration since 2004, and has now completed Phase II of the restoration plan. This includes 3.3 new acres that have been restored into five ecologically and culturally significant habitats. In order to celebrate the success of this monumental endeavor, join us in a dedication ceremony at the Duwamish Hill Preserve! Come out to see the new trails, benches, and interpretive signs as well as enjoy light refreshments.
This celebration is a part of the Backyard Wildlife Festival, which is an ongoing event that will be offering free shuttles from the Tukwila Community Center to the Duwamish Hill Preserve. Be sure to check out all the festival has to offer-including a dedication of the Duwamish Gardens (a new site within walking distance of the Duwamish Hill Preserve) earlier in the day.
