Join Trees for Seattle in saving public trees this Earth Day. We will be working in a public landscape near Georgetown playfield to remove aggressive weeds such as ivy which threaten the health of the beautiful mature trees on site. We will also be laying down fresh mulch, picking up garbage, and improving pedestrian access in the area. Seattle Department of Transportation urban forestry crew members will be working nearby to further extend our efforts.
What to Bring: We’ll provide tools, gloves, instruction, and snacks. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, close-toed shoes. This is family-friendly site and great for volunteers of all ages!
If you are planning on attending, please RSVP for the event HERE.
