Volunteers Pull Ivy with Green Kirkland

Join the Green Kirkland Partnership and EarthCorps to help with the restoration of the forest at North Rose Hill Park for Green Kirkland Day. Volunteers will spend the morning participating in restoration activities which may include removing non-native invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers.

No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

What to bring:* Closed Toed Shoes Required (ex: tennis shoes, sneakers or boots but no sandals)  Recommended: * Clothes that can get dirty * Raingear * Warm Layers * Long Pants/Long Sleeves  * Full water bottle & Snacks * Tools, training and gloves are provided

Pizza Lunch and healthy snacks will be provided at this event during the celebration remarks at 12 pm.

Meeting point: Look for the Green Kirkland and EarthCorps event signs.

Parking: Available along the street.

Youth Volunteering: Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
