You’re invited to the first-ever Green Shoreline Day! Green Shoreline Day is one of 13 Green City Days happening throughout the Puget Sound this fall. Green City Days connect community members across all ages and backgrounds for a common goal: helping to keep our forested parks and green spaces environmentally healthy.
Our Green Shoreline Day events will focus on planting the future forest of Shoreline and caring for our City’s parks at Hamlin Park, Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, and Twin Ponds Park. From creating wildlife habitat, to combating climate change, and providing a place for residents to recreate: having a hand in Green Shoreline Day is one of the best ways to give back to your neighbors, parks, and your local forest.
Everyone can help! The event is family friendly and open to all ages. No experience is necessary to attend. We will provide tools, gloves, and the necessary training for the day, along with some light refreshments.
Choose to volunteer in one of the three parks listed below! We will be planting at each park, along with additional restoration activities, such as mulching and pulling invasive weeds. We ask that all volunteers sign up in advance so that we can plan for a great event.
