What’s sharper than vampire fangs, returns from the dead like a zombie, and haunts Puget Sound like a poltergeist? Invasive species! Like a monster that broke out of a mad scientist’s lab, these plants escape and spread through the area, threatening the native species that grow here. Join Forterra at the Wayne Golf Course where we will provide you with silver bullets (tools and know-how) to save the trees from plants that go bump in the night!

Bring the family out for a morning of taking care of the landscape. There will be plenty of hot cider, candy, and other Halloween potions and provisions to keep you warm and energized for the event. We promise all treats, no tricks!

Where to park:  Park at the parking lot adjacent to the former clubhouse on the Front 9. We will meet near the clubhouse under a large green canopy.

What to bring: Water bottle, a raincoat, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (long pants and a long-sleeved shirts strongly recommended). Closed-toed shoes are required: work boots, hiking boots, or running shoes are all fine.

Please RSVP by emailing aselvey@forterra.org All ages welcome. If you are a volunteer under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please print and bring this waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
