The restoration at Hannabrook Park has just begun this year, so now is a great time to get involved and lay the foundation for a healthy urban forest. The work of volunteers will ensure that this site continues to improve over the next few years!
Forest restoration activities: Planting native plants and removing invasive non-native plants such as Himalayan blackberry.
What to bring: Come dressed to work outside (rain or shine) with sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle or coffee cup. We will provide coffee, refreshments, and light snacks, plus tools and work gloves.
Youth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. The Green Everett Partnership youth release waiver can be found here.
Please RSVP for the event by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org / 425-238-0065
The Green Everett Partnership Vision: Healthy forested parklands supported by an aware and engaged community in which individuals, neighborhoods, nonprofits, businesses, and city government are all working together to protect and maintain their valuable public resources.
