Join us to care for street trees growing in and around a lovely traffic triangle at the intersection of S Renton and S Thistle in south Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood. This space is home to healthy beech trees but weedy shrubs have popped up, threatening these trees and public safety. Join us as we work to spruce up this space and care for nearby recently planted street trees!
Having a healthy urban forest canopy is an important feature of a thriving neighborhood by providing cooling shade, stormwater mitigation, and reducing stress and symptoms of depression for its residents. By helping us improve the green infrastructure, you are helping strengthen the Rainier Beach Community.
