Sorry but this event is full and is no longer accepting additional volunteers. Please check out our events calendar to find more opportunities to volunteer with the Green Redmond Partnership.
Have fun, do good, and get involved! Join the Green Redmond Partnership in Westside Park for a fun morning of helping the forest and this great park. We’ll be removing invasive weeds to make room for trees and native plants to thrive.
This event has something for everyone: roll up your sleeves and get some exercise, relax from the bustle of your daily grind by spending time under the park’s big trees, feel good knowing you’re helping to care for this neighborhood gem for the community to enjoy, spend quality time volunteering with friends or family, meet new neighbors, and help our environment thrive.
Volunteers of all ages and experience levels welcome. If you are 15 or under, please bring a responsible adult with you. Students and adults can earn service hours. We provide gloves, tools, training and light refreshments. Friends and family members are welcome but please RSVP for all members of your party to help us plan.
Time: Saturday, April 29th, 9 am
Address: Westside Park, 5810 156th Ave NE, 98052
Where to park: Street parking available near the park
Where to meet: From the main entrance to the park, cross the lawn and meet the group at the trailhead leading into the woods. If you arrive late, follow the trail and find us working!
What to bring: a water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes, and shoes that can get dirty (because they will!), including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against prickly blackberry. Closed-toed shoes are required: work boots, hiking boots, or running shoes are all fine. Remember to check the weather and bring appropriate layers and rain gear or sun protection as needed.
Please RSVP by emailing us at email@example.com, or calling 206-905-6924.
All ages welcome. If you are a volunteer under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please print and bring this waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
