Join Forterra and Seattle’s Tree Ambassadors to give one of Seattle’s neglected landscapes some TLC. In this lovely little space adjacent to a bus stop and beloved neighborhood cafe, we will remove aggressive ivy and bindweed that threatens the trees. Volunteers have worked hard on this delightful landscape- and we are so close to freeing these trees from the blanket of ivy that smothers them! We will also be spreading mulch to make sure the trees in this landscape are set up for success so they can thrive into the future! Join friends and neighbors to spend the morning revitalizing the neighborhood.
When: Saturday March, 30th; 9:00am – 12:00pm
What to Bring: We’ll provide tools, gloves, instruction, and snacks. Please dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes. This is family-friendly site and great for volunteers of all ages!
