Kickoff Work Party at Redmond’s East Valley Heights Natural Area

September 9, 9:00 am12:00 pm

Green Redmond volunteers

King Conservation District, Forterra, and the City of Redmond are partnering together to launch a new pilot Neighborhood Steward program, and you can be a part of our kickoff celebration! Get your hands dirty and come out to volunteer at our first-ever work party at Redmond’s East Valley Heights Natural Area. Help us remove invasive weeds in order to restore the health of these forests.

Everyone can help! All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. We provide all of the tools and training needed.

So bring along your friends and family and get your hands dirty!

We will be providing more details on the event as the date draws closer, but if you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, please email Nicole Marcotte at nmarcotte@forterra.org

or call 206-905-6924!

Where: East Valley Heights Natural Area, located near 183rd ave NE

When: Saturday September 9th, 9am to Noon

What to bring: a water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes, and shoes that can get dirty (because they will!), including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against prickly blackberry.
