This volunteer event is registered as an MLK Day of Service event. In honor of the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr., the weekend leading up to and the day of MLK Day, community members are encouraged to engage in work that will improve the community. Green Snoqualmie Partnership works to improve the forests of Snoqualmie, and provide healthy forests for the community to enjoy. Winter means it is planting season in our natural areas! Join us as we care for the forest near Stillwater Bog and Community Park on the Snoqualmie Ridge and plant young native trees and shrubs. Native plants help to provide more benefits to our wildlife that call our urban forest home. Join us in restoring this valuable piece of our urban forest!
This event will happen in two 2-hour shifts, one at 10:00am, and one at 12:00pm.
Due to the pandemic and public safety, our events will not be greater than 5 volunteers and you must sign up ahead of time to join us.
Green Snoqualmie Partnership Vision: A city with healthy forests that provide high-value habitat for wildlife and access for residents and visitors to experience nature, supported by an aware and engaged community that is working together to restore and care for these lands.
