Join the Green Everett Partnership in celebrating Puget Sound Orca Recovery Day at beautiful Howarth Park overlooking Puget Sound. If we are super lucky we may get a chance to glimpse some orca as we work to weed and plant in upland forest habitat in the Pigeon Creek Number 2 watershed. This native forest is vital in shading and filtering water before it flows into Puget Sound.
What to bring: Come dressed to work outside (rain or shine) with sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle or coffee cup. We will provide tools, instruction, and work gloves.
Youth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. The Green Everett Partnership youth release waiver can be found here.
The Green Everett Partnership Vision: Healthy forested parklands supported by an aware and engaged community in which individuals, neighborhoods, nonprofits, businesses, and city government are all working together to protect and maintain their valuable public resources.
