The unique ecosystems at the Duwamish Hill Preserve highlight oak savannahs, camas prairie, wet sedge meadow, and the tule wetland. The hill itself is a geological wonder and is actually older than Mt. Rainier! Come out this November to finish planting and mulching to prepare the saplings for winter. All ages and abilities are welcome and no experience is necessary!
Date: Saturday, November 17
Time: 10 am to 1 pm
Location: Duwamish Hill Preserve
To sign up to volunteer, and for more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
What to bring: Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes (rubber boots, hiking/tennis shoes), long sleeves, long pants, warm layers and bring a rain jacket. We’ll have tools and gloves for you to use! Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle if you have one.
All ages are welcome, but we encourage all volunteers under the age of 15 to be accompanied by an adult. If you are a volunteer under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please print and bring this Green Tukwila Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
