Volunteers needed to help care for Azalea Park and the forest along the Silent Creek Trail. Azalea Park is the trailhead for one of Snoqualmie’s loveliest forested hikes, however weeds that establish here threaten the entire forest along the trail. If aggressive weeds establish at the trailhead, their seeds can hitchhike on hiking boots to spread along the entire trail. Volunteers will be removing sprouting weeds and caring for native plants volunteers planted in previous years. Join us in caring for your neighborhood’s forest! Advance registration required.
Due to the pandemic and public safety, our events will not be greater than 10 volunteers and you must sign up ahead of time to join us.
Tools, gloves, and instruction provided.
