Volunteers needed to help care for the forests behind Curtis Park along the Silent Creek trail. This is a wonderful asset to the community but the forested areas are being threatened by newly established aggressive weeds like English ivy and blackberry. Join us in ensuring that this forested area remains healthy by helping to remove these weeds before they become a much bigger issue. Advance registration required.
This event will be split into two 90-minute shifts to account for the lack of restrooms and refreshments, you may register for one or both shifts. Due to the pandemic and public safety, our events will not be greater than 10 volunteers and you must sign up ahead of time to join us.
Tools, gloves, and instruction provided.
