How did the summer go by so fast? If you are looking for a way to squeeze the last bit of fun out of these last few weeks of summer, we have a great idea: enjoy a walk in the Watershed Preserve! We will walk about two miles along park trails observing the forest surroundings and removing non-native vegetation.
If you are 15 or under, please bring a responsible adult with you. Students and adults can earn service hours. We provide gloves, tools, and training. Friends and family members are welcome but please RSVP for all members of your party to help us plan for a great event.
When: Thursday, September 5th; 6:00pm-8:00pm
Where: Redmond Watershed Preserve. Meet near the restrooms at the south parking lot off Novelty Hill Road. Parking is available a the south parking lot.
What to Bring: A water bottle, a snack if you want one, and tough clothes, and shoes that can get dirty (because they will!), including long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect against prickly blackberry. Closed-toed shoes are required: work boots, hiking boots, or running shoes are all fine. Remember to check the weather and bring appropriate layers and rain gear or sun protection as needed.
If you are a volunteer under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please print and bring this waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
