Project Associate, Riparian Restoration
Alex has 3 years of conservation background, including leading crews building trails in the Cascades, a stint with the Washington Conservation Corps, and connecting farmers with conservation incentives in his home state of Indiana. Alex engages with community members and landowners to coordinate habitat restoration throughout Puget Sound’s iconic rivers and streams. In a given day, Alex can be found anywhere from surveying stream banks in waders to behind a desk coordinating crews and supplies for a project. He earned his B.S. degrees in Natural Resources and Applied Cultural Anthropology from Ball State University, where his academic focus was engaging the public on conservation issues. Off the clock, Alex can be found biking, bouldering, backpacking, or baking.
