Green Shoreline Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunities Update

In accordance with the City of Shoreline’s vaccination policy, the Green Shoreline Partnership will require volunteers to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Effective December 1, volunteers will be expected to show proof of vaccination and sign an attestation confirming that they are fully vaccinated. If you think you need a religious or medical exemption, email greenshoreline@forterra.org.

We have paused December volunteer events while we coordinate implementation of this vaccination requirement.

We’re so grateful to our strong community of volunteers for continuing to help us restore our urban forest as we continue to navigate the pandemic. Thank you for your understanding and for helping keep our communities safe!

What is the Green Shoreline Partnership?

The Green Shoreline Partnership is a unique public/private partnership between the City of Shoreline, Forterra, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, local businesses, and the Shoreline community at large that builds upon existing forest restoration efforts to establish a city-wide community-based stewardship program to support long-term restoration and maintenance of Shoreline’s parks and natural areas. Green Shoreline has the goal to restore 240 acres of Shoreline’s forested parks and natural areas by 2039.

The Green Shoreline Partnership works to: improve the quality of life, connections to nature, and enhance forest benefits for Shoreline’s residents; galvanize an informed and active community of stewards; and ensure long-term sustainable funding and community support of forest restoration efforts..
