SUMMARY:Duwamish Hill Preserve Planting
DESCRIPTION:Join Dirt Corps\, Serve Ethiopians Washington\, Tukwila Parks\, and Forterra in restoring essential habitat by planting a variety of native trees\, shrubs\, and a variety of prairie plants such as camas and lupine. \nWe’ll start with a brief introduction to the site and have restoration professionals on hand to answer your questions. We’ll end with snacks and a special guest speaker sharing insights on the vital benefits of open space river corridors. \nEducational materials about the importance and history of the Duwamish River will also be available to take home. \nThank you to King County Parks for sponsoring this event. \nWhat to Bring: Please dress for the weather (in layers to stay warm/dry). Snacks\, drinks\, tools\, and gloves will all be provided. \nWhere to Meet: Signs will direct you from the parking lot to where we will meet — look for the pop up tents. \nWhere to Park: Park in the nearby parking lot at Duwamish Hill Preserve — 3800 S 115th St\, Tukwila\, WA 98168. If parking is full\, you may park along the road.
