This Friday, we’re reflecting on our most recent Forterra Friday event.
Held July 17, 2026, at Lake Stickney Community Park in Snohomish County, this event reminded us that even small groups have the power to make a big impact.
Three volunteers, a member of our staff, and a Healthy Forest Project staff member removed ivy and periwinkle to help native plants continue to thrive at this previously restored area.
The group ended the afternoon with a scenic stroll through the park. They tasted salal, trailing blackberries, and thimbleberry along the trail while learning about the park’s restoration history and the work that continues to keep it healthy.
Thank you to everyone who spent their Friday caring for this special place!
