green burien partnership

The Green Burien Partnership is a collaborative effort between the Port of Seattle, Forterra, City of Burien, community groups, nonprofits, schools, businesses and hundreds of volunteers to restore and maintain our forested parks and open spaces. (Expand on this / change language to be more community focused / inviting and focus on volunteers and partnerships)
Much of the work accomplished in the partnership is done by community members and there are many ways that you can get help out:
  • Volunteer – Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt
  • Become a Forest Steward – Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod
  • Spread the word – Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod
  • Be a good neighbor – Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt

In 2018, with funding from the Port of Seattle Airport Community Ecology (ACE) Fund, Forterra began establishing new Green City Partnerships in SeaTac, Burien and Des Moines to restore and care for our local urban forests. This program start-up process has included:
