Join Dirt Corps, Serve Ethiopians Washington, Tukwila Parks, and Forterra in restoring essential wildlife habitat by removing Himalayan blackberries that threaten our local native trees, shrubs, and groundcover.

Join us on October 24th from 10:00–1:00 at Duwamish Hill Preserve, a Tukwila park providing critical wildlife habitat and public trails in the middle of an industrial area.

We’ll start with a brief introduction to the site and have restoration professionals on hand to answer your questions. We’ll end with snacks and a special guest speaker sharing insights on the vital benefits of open space river corridors.

Educational materials about the importance and history of the Duwamish River will also be available to take home.

What to Bring: Please dress for the weather (in layers to stay warm/dry). Snacks, drinks, tools, and gloves will all be provided.

Where to Meet: Signs will direct you from the parking lot to where we will meet — look for the pop up tents.

Where to Park: Park in the nearby parking lot at Duwamish Hill Preserve — 3800 S 115th St, Tukwila, WA 98168. If parking is full, you may park along the road.
