Fall Forays: Wildlife Photography with Karen Povey

September 14 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Wildlife Photography with Karen Povey

September 14, 11am – 1pm, Free event. Morse Wildlife Preserve

Karen Povey has devoted her life to discovering and appreciating the wonders of the world’s wildlife. She spent her career as a zoologist and conservationist working in accredited zoological facilities – the last 22 years with Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park. Now embracing a life of adventure and exploration, Karen enjoys traveling regionally and to far-flung destinations, devoting her writing and photography interests to share her spirit of “wonderlust” and nature discovery with others.

During this walk through the Preserve, Karen will share some easy-to-learn tips for photographing wildlife and nature like a pro. She’ll cover the basics of understanding exposure to improve your photos, reveal secrets to great photo composition, and how you can use photography as a tool for becoming more observant while in nature.

Bring any camera you have (best would be one with adjustable exposure) if you’d like to practice together.
