Learn & Work Party, Non-Native Invasive Species, Clover Creek Reserve

May 27, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join a group of experienced volunteers to learn about the WA categories of noxious weeds, how they infiltrate and suppress other plants, and how best to remove and control them. Not only does Clover Creek Reserve have Himalayan blackberry, English ivy, and Scotch broom, but it also has ornamentals such as holly, lilac, flowering spruce, and vinca which are challenging for habitat health and restoration. We’ll discuss these plants and then continue work on their removal. Dress for the weather, if you have them bring gloves and tools (loppers, hori, shovel, clippers), and bring children but leave pets at home.

We will meet at the intersection of 143rd and 4th Street in the Parkland area (try Clover Creek Reserve or Clover Creek-Dietrich in your app). Park on the side of the road.
