Skip develops the policies, tools, and programs necessary to achieve expansive conservation and sustainability goals throughout the central Cascades and Olympic Peninsula regions. Working with stakeholders and elected officials in a variety of jurisdictions across the gradient of landscapes—from wildlands to urban centers—he specializes in conservation markets and incentives creation at the local and regional scales. Skip holds a M.P.A. and a M.S. in forest resources from the University of Washington, where his studies focused on environmental policy, land planning, and natural resources management. He also holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. Prior to joining Forterra, Skip served as Director of Analytics for Information Resources, Inc., a multinational research and consulting company. When he’s not tinkering on an endless supply of projects, Skip is often found skiing or biking in the Cascades backcountry.
