Fall Forays: Interpretative Walk with Dave Shorett

November 2, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Interpretive walk: “A forest is saved and what fish are coming home?”

Led by Dave Shorett.

November 2, 11am – 1pm. Free Event.

Join Dave Shorett, naturalist and fish expert, as we explore the connection between the Port Gamble Heritage forest and the wild run of salmon that return to this beautiful bay every year. Discover which species are running and when, who depends on these runs for survival and what are those fish pens for? All will be explained as we walk through the woods and along the shore. We will also touch on the story of how the Heritage Forest and all its trees recently became protected.
