Breathe life into Washington’s wild places by joining the Forterra Stewards, our network of monthly donors whose steady, reliable support keeps forests, shorelines, wildlife, and communities thriving across Washington.
Stewards make an impact

You’re invited to become a Forterra Steward by signing up to make a recurring monthly donation.
By committing to recurring donations, Stewards give Forterra the strongest foundation possible to build upon. While all types of donations are important, the steady and predictable nature of monthly donations translates to a reliable, effective and sustainable means of restoring forests, sheltering wildlife, and ensuring that future generations inherit a landscape rich with natural abundance.
Thanks to you and your ongoing support, every season brings renewal: saplings taking root in spaces once reserved for mature, towering trees; woodland creatures paving paths once choked by invasive growth; salmon returning to revitalized streams, and partnerships growing stronger. The Tribal Nations of Indigenous peoples continue to guide the preservation of this beautiful land over countless generations, and Forterra is proud to support that mission.
BENEFITS OF BEING A STEWARD
- A special Forterra thank you gift.
- Invitation to an exclusive Forterra Nature Discovery™ event.

faq
Is there a minimum donation amount required to be a Forterra Steward?
Yes – the minimum monthly gift for Forterra Stewards is $10 per month. There is no maximum – you may contribute any amount that is a meaningful gift for you and your circumstances.
Is my monthly gift tax-deductible?
Yes! Forterra is a federally approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN Tax ID 94-3112461). Your contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Annual tax receipts will be provided to donors. You can also access your donation records (YTD, Annual, Lifetime) through our new Donor Portal.
How / when will my monthly donation be billed?
Your monthly donations will begin with your first payment being charged on the day you initiate your gift. Subsequent gifts will be charged thereafter on the same day each month.
Once your monthly gift is active, you may sign in to Forterra’s Donor Portal at any time to manage your gift – make adjustments to your gift amount, payment date and payment method, as well as suspend your payments for a period of time or cancel your gift, as needed.
Are my gifts processed online secure?
Yes, your donations are secure. Our payment processing is fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), meaning your credit card information is handled with the highest level of security.
Validated as a Level 1 Service Provider and Payment Gateway, Blackbaud (our payment processor) demonstrates compliance with 12 security requirements through an annual review of the IT environment and information security policies and procedures. Blackbaud has also implemented additional payment security measures — such as fraud mitigation tools — that ensure your credit card information is, and remains, safe.
Forterra does not store your credit card details on our servers; once submitted, this information is encrypted and tokenized. It is not accessible in any readable or usable format.
How do I review or make changes to my monthly donation?
To make changes to your monthly gift at any time once your gift is active, simply sign in to Forterra’s Donor Portal. Once you’re signed in, you can make changes to your gift amount or monthly payment date, or change your method of payment. You can also suspend your monthly payments as needed, or cancel any time. In addition, you can manage your personal details and preferred method of contact, and even email yourself a record of your gifts.
You can also contact us with questions or to make changes any time by emailing support@forterra.org.
Can I set up my monthly donation by mail or by phone instead?
If you are interested in setting up a monthly contribution by mail, please reach out to us at support@forterra.org and we will send you a form to complete, which you can return to us either by mail or by email. (NOTE: email is not secure and is not a recommended method of sending sensitive information, such as credit card or banking information.)
While we can take information by phone to make adjustments to existing monthly contributions, we cannot initiate a recurring monthly gift in this manner due to the need for a ‘signed’ record of the donor’s consent, either by signed physical document or coming from the donor’s personal email account.
Can I give through my Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?
Contact your Donor Advised Fund sponsor (Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Seattle Foundation, etc.)
Request a grant to: Forterra NW to support their work protecting and stewarding critical lands and waters throughout the Pacific Northwest. Forterra NW (EIN: 94-3112461) 5101 14th Ave NW, Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98107
