DAF grants help move community-centered climate solutions forward when timing and flexibility matter most. DAF grant funds enable Forterra to respond quickly to opportunities that might otherwise be delayed or lost, such as our ability to:
- Close critical funding gaps on time-sensitive land acquisitions and restoration projects
- Accelerate community-led solutions that advance equity and environmental stewardship
- Leverage public investment, multiplying the impact of philanthropic dollars

What is a donor-advised fund?
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that lets you set aside cash, securities, or other assets for charitable giving. Your contribution may be eligible for an immediate tax deduction, and the assets can be invested for tax-free growth. You can then recommend one-time or recurring grants to eligible nonprofits like Forterra over time.
DAFs are typically sponsored by community foundations or financial institutions, such as Fidelity Charitable, DAFgiving360 formerly Schwab Charitable, and Seattle Foundation.
How to give through your donor-advised fund
To recommend a grant from your donor-advised fund to Forterra, contact your DAF sponsor and provide the information below.
Step 1
Contact your Donor-Advised Fund sponsor, such as Fidelity Charitable, DAFgiving360 formerly Schwab Charitable, and Seattle Foundation.
