Community Restoration Grant Awarded to Nature Vision

Forterra is proud to announce that it is awarding a Community Restoration Grant to Nature Vision, based out of Woodinville Washington.

Nature Vision is an environmental education nonprofit organization that brings place-based, experiential nature programming directly to schools and local greenspaces.

With this grant funding, up to 75 students from low-income and diverse schools within the Green/Duwamish Watershed will participate in Nature Vision’s educational programming, including restoration field trips and community science projects. Nature Vision aims to provide environmental education opportunities for three classes through restoration projects at Tukwila Park.

Partnering with several organizations such as the Green Tukwila Partnership, Nature Vision’s efforts will focus on classroom sessions and field trips where students will participate in data collection to improve salmon habitat and water quality, while also learning about watershed science, water quality, and ecosystem biodiversity.

Congratulations to Nature Vision! We are so grateful for the work you do.
