Event Overview:

The hidden stories of this park are revealed as Gary Mozel, naturalist and interpreter, takes us along a winding trail past towering firs and cedars. We’ll follow Lund’s Creek down to a small estuary with an amazing history — a tale of pristine biodiversity, then sad decline … and now ambitious rehabilitation. This hidden gem, also known as Meadowdale Beach Park, is a fine example of an intact watershed and the value of restoration. Join us and be inspired by this success story!

About Gary Mozel

Began a 50-year naturalist career that included work with Washington State Parks, The National Park Service, various Audubon Societies, Smithsonian Associates and Woodland Park Zoo. He has led nature walks and tours in such far-flung places as the Olympic Mountains, coastal Alaska, eastern Oregon, tropical Australia and southern Kenya.
